A Shreveport tradition since 1944, Strawn’s Eat Shop began its journey on Kings Highway across from Centenary College and quickly became a beloved Shreveport diner. Known for its vibrant murals and welcoming, homestyle atmosphere, it set the foundation for what would become Strawn’s Too — a Louisiana breakfast restaurant cherished by generations. Serving up hearty breakfasts, crispy fried chicken, and some of the best burgers in Shreveport, Strawn’s Too is also famous for its signature homemade icebox pies. These desserts gained national attention and turned our diner into a must-stop destination for locals and travelers alike. Whether you're craving a classic Southern breakfast, a juicy burger, or a slice of our iconic pie, Strawn’s Too continues to deliver comfort food and tradition in every bite.
Over the course of almost eight decades, Strawn’s now has three locations within the Shreveport-Bossier area and recognition from renowned publications and media outlets such as Southern Living, The Food Network, USA Today, and Buzzfeed. The family at Strawn’s Eat Shop “Too” on Youree Drive is honored to have faithfully served the area for many years, as well as to be a part of so many traditions for locals and tourists alike. Come see us, located in the Portico Shopping Center on Youree, to get a taste of tradition in a place that feels like home.
