A Shreveport tradition since its founding in 1944, Strawn’s Eat Shop opened on Kings Highway across from Centenary College. Loved for its colorful murals and an environment that mimics one of ‘home,’ the restaurant quickly became a local staple and the birthplace of many traditions that have carried on for decades. Offering burgers and fried chicken, a renowned breakfast menu, and the best pies around, it was the signature icebox pie that garnered recognition outside of the local area. Strawn’s quickly became the ‘must-stop shop’ for a pie worthy of all praises and a breakfast, lunch, or dinner meal that's guaranteed to please.
Over the course of almost eight decades, Strawn’s now has three locations within the Shreveport-Bossier area and recognition from renowned publications and media outlets such as Southern Living, The Food Network, USA Today, and Buzzfeed. The family at Strawn’s Eat Shop “Too” on Youree Drive is honored to have faithfully served the area for many years, as well as to be a part of so many traditions for locals and tourists alike. Come see us, located in the Portico Shopping Center on Youree, to get a taste of tradition in a place that feels like home.
